Great post as always!

When it comes to increasing playoff experience, with the logic that winning breeds culture, I have an honest and possibly sacrilegious suggestion moving forward: W. Karlsson + N. Hague for B. Jenner + A. Texier (Sillinger could also be an option instead of either two).

I like it! Those two would be marvelous fits on the roster and CBJ should absolutely be in on anyone from Vegas.

I'm also partial to Nicolas Roy myself but that's just because he was, for the most part, wildly underutilized for most of the season. He's a good passer, 6'4" and he's right handed as well.

Still, if Karlsson fits their needs to move off of cap, I don't see how CBJ doesn't salivate at the opportunity.

Removing all sentimentality regarding Jenner, it could make a lot of sense for both sides, I think.

- VGK need cap space and depth scoring. Karlsson is probably a 3C with Eichel and Hertl there. As such, he is a bit expensive for a third-liner. They have a lot of LD and probably need to move one, Hague is the easiest to move. They get a quality 3C in Jenner that's not too much of a downgrade from Karlsson while having a lower cap hit and a fantastic bottom 6 forward in Texier.

- CBJ get a top 6 C with a two-way game in Karlsson that can fill in on the first line until Fantilli is ready and a big physical (and still young) LD that can play on the PK in Hague. Both have a lot of playoff experience, are very used to winning and are quality players.

I would be absolutely stoked if this happened, but accept that it's a pipe dream. Any deal for Karlsson would likely have to include Jenner and I just don't see it happening.

I would be excited to see Roy in Columbus too. His numbers are very good. Though Vegas has less reason to move him presently, given his lower cap hit.

Karlsson would really be a top add. Fantastic skillset next to Gaudreau.

Agreed that Jenner is unlikely but with Davidson moving out of the top leadership position there's at least marginally increased chance! Hopefully Waddell, and maybe ownership if they really were involved with Jenner, have learned from Vegas' somewhat ruthless approach.
