I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they are the future 1D pair. Their games fit together very well.
Realistically though, it's way too early to tell. They looked really good when everything went their way but they'll have to find ways to make up for mistakes when they inevitably happen over a long season.
Might have to see them earn trust from an NHL coach a la Heiskanen/Harley with Ryan Suter. Probably easier for Mateychuk than Jiricek.
Play stl again soon. Cbj can prove it in season. There's no easy games. Stl will know better than to expect an easy game
